Over the last decades the focus on how we develop good leaders has changed. In the 1930-1950ties leaders were born to lead, in the 1980ties leader were characterised according to their output, in the 1990ties the concept of Emotional Intelligence shaped our understanding of leadership and for the last decade leadership has been seen as part of a complex system with increased consideration to value-based aspects of leadership.
Both emotional intelligence and value-based, authentic leadership are elements which need to be developed all through our careers. The big question, which many companies face, is which tools can help us develop emotional intelligence and value-based leadership and with these effective leaders?
